Five things from the Internet that I’m a fan of this week (please excuse last week’s absence, I was in the middle of moving):
- This video on Youtube has nearly 200 million views, so there’s a good chance you’ve seen it already, but if not, it’s pretty incredible.
- This funny bit of insight into why people talk like “bros” when they’re doing fun things.
- This guy is an Australian illustrator with good content about the creative process. This one is a tongue-in-cheek take on “boomer humor” comics, but his video takes on overcoming self-doubt and finding inspiration are pretty sweet, too.
- On a more serious note, this long read on tree planting is a good reminder that, at least sometimes, nature can take care of itself without our help.
- I love this song, which reminds me of the best of Yann Tiersen’s soundtrack work, but is performed on a soprano mandolin and toy piano. The band is SHEL, and the mandolin player is Eva Holbrook. Listen!
